With Vega Korea, XIOM is launching an interesting addition to its very popular Vega rubber series. The rubber features a 45° sponge and a very grippy, spin-friendly surface. It is available in Europe in black and blue, and in the maximum sponge thickness.

Vega Korea is based on Vega Japan. Both rubbers have a very open-pored, reactive 45° sponge, but differ in the pimple geometry of their topsheets. Due to its slightly thinner, longer pimples, the Vega Korea plays even faster and with more elasticity than the Vega Japan.

The ball bounce is also slightly flatter in VEGA Korea. Both rubbers are suitable for modern, fast-paced offensive play. Because of its flatter bounce, Korea has an advantage with close-to-the-table counter-topspins, allowing for quick, precise shots with short movements.

The rubber offers a high level of playing enjoyment. The Vega Korea also impresses with its high tolerance and consistency in passive play.

However, when playing with finesse at the table, especially on short shots, Vega Korea – especially on a fast blade – can be quite demanding due to its high dynamics.
